I took this photo as we were approaching the Colosseum. It was almost midday when we made it to the Roman forum but with the angle of the sun, this photo turned out darker. I think it adds a dramatic and mysterious flair to the photo.

Walking through the security line up and up to the basilica, I took a photo of the front of San Pietro. At the time, I thought it was an interesting angle, including the statue of San Paolo, and it really looked golden with the morning sun facing it.

This photo was taken in Assisi during our walk down to the Chiesa di San Damiano. The path to this church was long and cuts right into a large olive field on one side. It was quite peaceful despite of the heat and the view was wonderous to take in.
